ELMHURST – Wayne Aardsma joined Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare (EMHC) as the vice president of Managed Care and Sleep Services and the president of Home Health, Hospice and Home Medical Equipment. His experience managing healthcare organizations in all different stages from startup to maturity will help him in his work to assure the health of EMHC’s managed care and home care services as the organization prepares for the opening of the new integrated campus on York Street and Roosevelt Road in 2011.
“Wayne is well-known and respected by EMHC’s physicians, community and managed care payers alike,” said President/CEO Leo Fronza. “I am confident that we have a strong leadership team in place to successfully open the new campus next summer and continue to provide a continuum of care to the communities we serve.”
Prior to joining EMHC, Aardsma was the president and CEO of North American Medical Management, an organization that has partnered with ELMCARE, EMHC’s Physician Hospital Organization, for 15 years to manage the risk market. Aardsma has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from DePaul University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
